Romano is the leader of our Lean practice. He has turned a pet peeve about wasted time, duplicative efforts, and silo-based thinking in design and construction projects into a personal mission. Through his deep involvement with the Lean Construction Institute, and experience in leading and training project teams using collaborative, lean thinking, he helps the industry look for better ways to improve project delivery.
Dean Reed led DPR Construction’s Lean Construction for over 24 years and was awarded the Lean Construction Institute’s Pioneer award in 2021. He is a co-author of the book, Integrating Project Delivery, published by Wiley in 2017. He founded the consultancy, Capability-Building, in 2021 after retiring from DPR to help companies shift from management by results/numbers to focus on the means for improving the delivery of built products.
Stuart is the founder and President, of the Center for Innovation (formerly CIDCI), an organization to accelerate innovation in the Design and Construction industry. Career promoting and creating project teams inspired him to innovate integrated and collaborative processes to design and construct healthcare facilities. Stuart introduced and launched his first Integrated Form of Agreement (IFOA) for UC and UCSF Health. He leads IPD for UCSF's new $3.8 B Parnassus Heights Hospital program.
